Space rocks could hold the answers to the solar system

The Hayabusa 2 spacecraft has been travelling for more than 5 billion kilometres over the last 6 years.

After its long journey the spacecraft has delivered samples of rock off an asteroid called Ryugu, which scientists hope can further expand our knowledge of the solar system and how water formed on Earth.

Australia National University’s Professor Trevor Ireland was part of the team of scientists and he joins Luke Grant to help us understand why this could change our view in the solar system.
