Solo sailor breaks world record

John Stanley

When you think of famous adventures, we usually think about Sir Ernest Shackleton and Christopher Colombus, but there are still people who are completing incredible voyages.

Lisa Blair is one of them and she set sail in February from Albany, Western Australia aiming to break the world record for the fastest unassisted voyage around Antarctica.

John Stanley chats to Lisa Blair about her journey after failing her first attempt back in 2017 due to her yacht’s mast snapping in rough seas near South Africa.

However five years on, Lisa has completed the journey in 92 days,10 days faster than the previous record holder.

To find out more about Lisa you can visit her website.
