Both sides of politics have weighed in on US President Donald Trump’s slip where he indicated that he did not know what AUKUS is.

Michael Shoebridge from Strategic Analysis Australia told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, “I think your listeners have got it right to say let’s not put too much weight on one comment in one meeting.”

“I’m not sure it was a gap, I don’t think he’s turned his mind to it. But in one way, he hasn’t had to yet,” Mr. Shoebridge continued.
