Seize and destroy: ‘Nation-leading’ e-mobility report makes 28 recommendations

E-scooter riders in Queensland will be required to hold a learner’s permit if the recommendations made by a “nation-leading” report into e-mobility device are adopted.

The report handed down in state parliament yesterday made 28 recommendations after a staggering 6000 e-mobility device injuries were recorded between 2022 and 2025.

Transport Minister Brent Mickelberg told 4BC’s Dean and Sofie “parents and guardians are effectively aiding and abetting the actions of their own children by purchasing illegal devices”.
