The superb form of Storm fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen has his coach endorsing him for a Blues bench spot.

Following in the footsteps of arguably the greatest fullback the game has seen, Papenhuyzen has taken his game to another level by using Billy Slater as a mentor.

“I’ve learned more from when he wasn’t playing. Now that he’s finished up, he’s helped me a lot more. Billy is an open book. He doesn’t hold anything back. He’s a big part of what I’ve been doing so I have to credit him a lot”
