Have you visited Roma Street Parklands recently? Well you may not know that there is a plan to change that public space, with a plan that includes a new apartment building.

More than 30,000 people have signed Change.org petition to Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk demanding that the parkland be protected from further development.

The petition organiser, Jean Burstle, says the plans would fundamentally change its character, while Minister for Transport Mark Bailey says there is not threat to the park whatsoever.
