Charles Sturt University Chancellor Michele Allan has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia.

As well as heading the leading regional university in the country she sits on seven agriculture boards.

The award has been given for distinguished service to the agricultural, food production and business sectors and to tertiary education.

Rural Reporter Brady Evans spoke to Doctor Allan to get her reaction to the recognition.
