Rail to cut freight transport costs

Farmers believe a multi-billion-dollar freight project needs more work, to fully benefit agriculture and the regions.

Latest modelling from the C-S-I-R-O shows the Inland Rail project could cut freight transport costs by up to 213-million-dollars a year.

Rural editor Sophie Clarke spoke with New South Wales Farmers Inland Rail Taskforce Head Adrian Lyon, who thinks the report is a bit far-fetched.
