Predicting HSC results could rid students of some exams

Research from the University of Newcastle questions the relevance of HSC exams. The tests undertaken by Year 12 students at the end of their schooling often come under fire for placing too much pressure on students.

The University of Newcastle team, led by Professor John Fischetti, have developed a system which claims to predict a students HSC marks with 93% accuracy using information from earlier years.

Professor Fischetti joins John Stanley to explain what information is used and if this system is a viable option for the future.
