John Stanley

Now’s your chance to recognise and nominate a local hero that you believe made a significant contribution to the nation.

Listen to John speak to Karlie Brand the National Australia Day Council Chief executive officer about the Australian of the Year Award 2022, all the different categories, and how you can nominate someone that has inspired you!

There have been plenty of things to nominate people for from the recovery from the bushfires to the pandemic in 2020.

It only takes one nomination and residents from all states and territories have the opportunity to nominate someone they believe makes a significant contribution to the nation

You can nominate people online. Nominations close at midnight on July 31, with the winners announced on Australia Day eve.
