‘No reason why he shouldn’t continue’: Storm boss on Craig Bellamy’s coaching future

Craig Bellamy’s future at the Melbourne Storm is uncertain after 23 seasons as head coach.

Frank Ponissi, General Manager of Football for the Melbourne Storm, told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports, “He’s coaching as well as I’ve ever seen him coach. He’s enjoying it, there’s a good vibe in the group.”

“So I just see no reason why he shouldn’t continue.”

“I think Wayne Bennett’s proving age is not a barrier. He’s done phenomenal things at South Sydney and he’s got a few more years on Craig.”

“So I think that should be an inspiration for Craig to keep going,” Mr Ponissi continued.
