Nissan’s Juke SUV – A somewhat different compact SUV
Driving Nissan’s small Juke SUV which is the sixth best seller in the light SUV class. The Nissan Juke a somewhat quirky small SUV that comes in six grades – I drove the best seller the ST-L at $38,600 drive-away. Refreshed last year it has evolved into a small SUV with real attitude – a compact crossover with bold, distinctive, and clever styling that really grew on me over the course of a week. Powered by a marvelous 1.0-litre turbo three-cylinder engine linked to a seven- speed dual-clutch automatic. Compared to the exterior the dashboard layout is somewhat dated but in terms of interior space excellent, boot space in particular well above average. The interior certainly comfortable for four well sized passengers – a great SUV for a small family. The ST-L grade has just the right bells and whistles too – larger 19-inch alloy wheels, electric park brake, faux leather trim, three drive modes, push button start, a 360-degree camera, a full suite of active safety elements, front and rear parking sensors rain sensing wipers and radar cruise control. I really enjoyed driving the Nissan Juke and I’ll explain in my next segment but above all else I love its visual quirkiness. Warranty five-years/unlimited kilometre.
