Next In Line – Lord Jeffrey Archer’s new book

John Stanley

John Stanley speaks to best-selling author Lord Jeffrey Archer.

From ‘the Clifton Chronicles’ to ‘Kane and Abel’ his novels have topped the bestseller lists around the world with sales of over 275 million copies.

He is the only author ever to have a number one bestseller in fiction, short stories, and non-fiction.

His latest novel ‘Next In Line’, is set in London in 1988, where Royal fever has swept the nation as Britain falls in love with the ‘people’s Princess.’

Asking Lord Archer where the inspiration comes for his books Lord Archer explains, “I think it’s a god-given gift, I’m not a ballet dancer, I don’t play the violin, and I don’t sing opera… I tell stories”.

“I do it cause I love it, I can’t wait to get back to work and get onto the new book, when that stops, John I will stop,” says Lord Archer.

‘Next in Line’ is available now.
