One of the first new models to arrive this year – a new Volkswagen Polo– a small car with a big reputation in its sixth generation. Volkswagen’s fourth best-seller the latest Polo arrives in two grades Trendline and Comfortline with different tunes of an all-new 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine. The entry VW Polo 70TSI Trendline five-door hatch rises $500 to $17,990 in five speed manual, $20,490 in 7-speed DSG auto. The more powerful Polo 85TSI Comfortline in six-speed manual kicks off at $19,490, $21,990 in 7-speed DSG while a better-equipped launch edition Comfortline adds $1,000 to these prices. Volkswagen have updated the Polo with the latest infotainment elements including a wide touch screen, dual USB charging ports Apple Car Play and Android Auto as standard – Safety also gets a boost with the addition of autonomous emergency braking, a reversing camera, fatigue monitoring and stability control. Always a class leader the new Polo arrives early March.
