New report show stark findings about the impacts on ‘sandwich’ carers

Gary Hardgrave

A new report has found an overwhelming majority of “sandwich” carers suffering from burnout.

MYMAVINS consulting partner Tai Rotem says the findings are quite stark and compelling.

“Stress, burnout, the impact on their career and finances, so it’s really having quite a big impact across their life,” he told Gary Hardgrave.

Mr Rotem says close to three in four carers are suffering negative physical symptoms a few times a month.

“And the majority are concerned about the long-term health impacts of caring,” he added.
