Native Australian birds knock over Buble and ABBA on ARIA charts

An Australian album has had a field day on the charts, knocking over a list of music’s biggest acts on the ARIA charts, from Michael Buble to ABBA and Mariah Carey.

But the songs have no lyrics. They feature the sounds of endangered Australian birds.

The album’s called Songs of Disappearance, and Anthony Albrecht is one of the creative minds behind it.

He joined me for insight into the long days spent out in rainforests to find the birds and record them.
