Mystery surrounds profit flow for fresh produce

Farmers are concerned major retailers, hiking up prices on fresh produce, could have long-term impacts on the ag-industry.

The cost of vegetables inflated by five-point-five-percent in the June quarter, while the consumer price index on fruit rose four-point-seven-percent.

Rural reporter Sophie Clarke caught up with New South Wales Farmers Horticulture Committee Chairman Guy Gaeta to hear more about it.
