Motor Traders’ Association NSW: Fuel thieves in our scopes

A pain far greater than an empty fuel tank, is an empty tank and soaring petrol prices.

A new initiative is set to launch at Aussie servos in an attempt to target thieves failing to pay for their topped-up petrol tanks, a crime on the rise due to high petrol prices and economic challenges.

‘Fail-to-pay’ stickers will shortly grace our petrol bowsers as the next “necessary step” to catch fraudsters according to Motor Traders’ Association of NSW. So, will this help curb criminal behaviour or add fuel to the fire?
