The CEO of the Minerals Council of Australia has told Gary Hardgrave the sector is a ‘pillar of strength’ for the country as she urges for mines to boost exports.

Tania Constable also says the coal industry is important for Queensland, with over a quarter of jobs in the state coming from the industry.

“We need to make sure we have the right sort of investment conditions … we need to make sure we’re not overtaxing the industry because this is the industry looking after Australians,” she said.
