Maroons legend Gene Miles has dispelled rumours suggesting he was resigning from his position as the executive chairman of FOGS.

Talking to Sofie Formica live from Suncorp Stadium ahead of tonight’s State of Origin match, he admitted he did step down initially but later took the role back.

“We had a replacement in mind, and he came on board for a few months, but unfortunately for us, he got an offer he couldn’t refuse,” he said.
