Liberals ‘not going to change values’ despite Nationals departure from Coalition

Bill McDonald

Yesterday, the bombshell news dropped that the Coalition was to be split due to the departure of the Nationals, after it had become apparent that both parties don’t see eye-to-eye on major policies.

Liberal Deputy Leader, Ted O’Brien joined Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, saying that the Liberal Party were “not going to change our values” despite the shock news.

The Deputy Liberal Leader said, “I am disappointed… We have proven as the Liberal Party and National Party over many years that we can work together, and where there are any differences, we’ve been able to ensure that they are worked out.”

“I saw no reason why that couldn’t be the case in this term of government, but at the same time, the National Party is their own party and I respect the fact they’ve made a decision,” O’Brien continued.
