An NRL great has admitted he thought last night’s match against the Blues “lacked intensity”.

Brent Tate says the loss is a disappointing result for Queensland.

“A little disappointing, mate, but that’s the way it goes,” he told Jason Matthews on 4BC Wide World of Sports.

“I think we need more physicality coming off the bench, I would definitely look at someone like Coen Hess,” he added.
