Labor’s latest mediscare-style campaign

Luke Grant

Luke Grant speaks to Member for Robertson Lucy Wicks about accusations Labor is running a mediscare-style campaign targeting elderly residents.

The party is being accused of sending letters to elderly voters on the New South Wales Central Coast, claiming the Morrison Government will force age pensioners on a Cashless Debit Card.

The Government has explicitly said it has no such plans.

The letter reads: “There are thousands of pensioners across the Coast at risk of being forced on to the Cashless Debit Card.

This is a heartless plan by the Morrison Government to limit and control how you spend your money.”

Lucy Wicks says many older constituents have contacted her in distress over the scare campaign.
