Kia’s run-out Sorento SUV great buying especially the petrol V6 Black edition.

In large SUV’s there’s a huge range available and if you don’t need four wheel drive the top sellers in two wheel drive are Toyota‘s Kluger, Mazda’s CX-9 and Hyundai’s Sante Fe. One that also deserves mention is Kia’s Sorento – a new one is due shortly but the few run-out models available represent great buying – especially the Sorento Black Edition with sharp drive-away pricing, $49,190 drive-away – a silky 3.5-lltre V6 petrol 8-speed automatic front wheel drive with seven seats. Available in four colours and distinctive with black 19-inch alloys, the black extending to the grille, roof rails and side mirrors, also gaining a panoramic sunroof, distinctive LED fog lights and privacy glass.
The interior package, classy and nicely detailed with piano black inserts – full leather trim with an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, dual- zone climate control, and a host of safety gear including a 360-degree camera. With the third seat in use luggage space is next to useless, just 142 litres, as a five seater much better with 605 litres. Good seat space however, the second row seats able to slide for and aft and third row occupants well served with their own air vents and fan control. The Kia Sorento is a great family SUV with its real benefit a 7-year unlimited kilometre warranty two years more than its competition. Drive details next segment.
