Jurors discharged after failing to reach verdict in trial of accused murderer Rajwinder Singh

Carla Bignasca

The jury tasked with determining if Rajwinder Singh was responsible for the alleged murder of 24-year-old Cairns woman Toyah Cordinglay has been discharged.

4BC Afternoons host Sofie Formica told listeners the jury had been unable to reach a verdict after three days of deliberation.

“Just after midday the jurors issued a note to Justice James Henry advising they were still in deadlock,” she said.

Rajwinder Singh pleaded not guilty in the Supreme Court and the trial has been adjourned until next week.
