July 2017 official V-Facts car sales figures

Official V-Facts car sales figures for July show the motor industry posted its fourth month of record sales this year. However while year on year there are a number of winners not everybody is enjoying sales growth. Toyota maintained its dominance in July with nearly 18,000 sales and a 19.3 per cent share of the market. In fact, Toyota had five vehicles in the nation’s top 10 best-sellers. Mazda was next best seller in July with 9,528 sales for a 10.3 percent share of the market, The prestige and luxury market has generally softened against the same time last year – BMW are down by 15.8 percent, Audi by 9.1, Land Rover by 13.2, Peugeot and Citroen by 47, Volvo by 17.2 , Volkswagen by 3.2 and Lexus by 1.2. On the other hand Mercedes is up by 5.8 percent, Maserati by 47, Mini by 6.3, Jaguar by 9.4, Alfa Romeo by 25.1, Bentley by 40.7, Infiniti by 18.5 and Ferrari by 5.6.
