If Australians were asked to name the international superstar who lives quietly in the outer suburbs of Sydney and shares with Elvis the honour of three consecutive number one hits in the UK, and had the first million selling single ever, and had no less than three million-selling singles (and a few others that almost made a million sales) how many would immediately recall the name of the great Frank Ifield?

Frank of course is often remembered for one song, I Remember You and many Australians erroneously think that he was a ‘one hit wonder’!  But the handsome young lad from Dural was a big star here before he ever left to record in Britain, is remembered as a superstar in Britain and had many international hits and recorded hundreds of songs in a long and successful career.
