Jaguar to cease production of most of internal combustion powered models by June

David Berthon

It seems the end is near for the last of the internal combustion engined Jaguars as the British car-maker transitions to electric power for 2025. In what must be shattering news for Jaguar traditionalist’s the company will cease production of its mid-size XE and larger XF sedans as well as its F-Type sports car in June – however it has indicated it is producing as many of the current models as possible to ensure a healthy supply for sale after production has ended. Jaguar will then repurpose its Castle Bromich facility in the UK for EV production. The company will however maintain production of its small and large E-Pace and F- Pace SUV’s for some time yet. However, given the worldwide slowdown in electric vehicle sales the company must be having second thoughts on introducing an all-electric range from 2025.
