Is Omicron overtaking the Delta Strain? – 28th December

Covid continues to build fear amongst us, with Omicron spreading and cases continuing to climb daily, there is a lot of uncertainty around living with the virus.     

New data suggests that people infected with the Omicron variant are at lower risk of hospitalisation than those who contracted earlier versions of the virus.

So at what point does COVID-19 evolve into something which, although still transmissible, can be something we live with.

Luke speaks to Professor Robert Booy, an Infectious Diseases Expert at Sydney University about how Omicron overtaking Delta as dominant Covid strain may not be such a bad thing.
