How to live longer, without losing quality of life

Mike Jeffreys

Luke Grant is joined by Dr Felipe Sierra, Director, Division of Aging Biology, National Institute on Aging – National Institutes of Health, to find out the aims of the conference he’s taking part in that looks at ‘how to live longer, without losing quality of life’.

With ageing the main cause of chronic diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cancer and cardiovascular disease, researchers will focus on how we can extend our lifespan without risking our health and quality of life at the fourth Australian Biology of Ageing Conference next week.

From 26 to 28 August, the conference has brought some of the most important international scientists in ageing research to Sydney, to consider how the latest research on genetic, dietary and pharmacological interventions impact the ageing process.
