Rural Aid is receiving hundreds of requests for hay as bushfire and drought conditions worsen.

Farmers have requested more than $1 million dollars worth of assistance in the last month alone.

Rural reporter Brady Evans spoke with Rural Aid Chief Executive John Warlters to hear how the organisation is helping, as well as farmer Jason Cousins to hear how farmers are coping.
