‘Great competitor’: Mark Taylor sings praises for Neale Daniher ahead of the Big Freeze 11

Bill McDonald

Mark Taylor is gearing up to go down the slide next Monday for the Big Freeze 11 to help raise funds for research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The former Test Cricket captain says he admires Neale Daniher’s story, telling Bill McDonald, the Australian of the Year and former AFL player has handled his disease with the same gusto he had during his sporting career.

“He was a great competitor, a sort of ‘never say die’ footballer, and then he’s been thrust into a real ‘never say die’ life situation,” he said.

He’s also provided a hint about his costume, which he’ll wear when he goes down the iconic slide.
