Billy Slater has made some drastic changes to the Maroons side with Queensland staring down the barrel of a second straight series defeat.

Maroons and Broncos legend Ben Hunt told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “It’s a really tough call, to drop your halfback and your captain after the first game.”

“He made a couple of other little changes [like] moving Paddy [Patrick Carrigan] to the bench and things like that.”

“He’s obviously got something up his sleeve or in his mind he wants to do, we’ve just got to trust him,” Ben Hunt said.
