On the show today: Olympia covers the day’s headlines ahead of a bumper weekend of events in Brisbane. Gardening is back for another week, and sees Paul Plant and Olympia discuss the best way to combat potential dehydration and sunburn when you’re working in your garden. Paul also tries to identify a succulent and answers your questions about Bromeliads damaging a Poinciana tree and flowering pear trees. PLUS Paul introduces his plant of the week: the Hoya Carnosa! A tough reliable climber plant that is low maintenance and beautiful when it flowers!

In the second hour; Olympia chats with Straddie Arts Trail Creative Director Cath Carrol ahead of the fantastic island events this weekend. Cath tells us more about the  local artists, workshops, pop-up retail and gallery spaces combined with magical sunsets. The Quandamooka Festival is also happening, so plenty of reasons to get to Straddie this weekend. 
We also hear from Jimmie Gold, General Manager of Felons Brewing Co, ahead of tonight’s Riverfire event! Felons is a great vantage point to see the spectacular fireworks and jets across the city skyline, with plenty of restaurants, bars and seating to cover you.
