FULL SHOW: 4BC Weekend Breakfast with Olympia Kwitowski, Saturday 20th July 2024

On the show today: Gardening Hour sees Arno King and Olympia discuss how these colder temperatures can affect your plants and why bringing your more tender plants inside can help protect them through winter. They also come up with alternative names for the famous ‘Ekka Chop’, including the ‘Ekka Exodus’ and the ‘Ekka Execution’. Arno also answers your questions about young dwarf lemon and lime trees, if grass can be damaged by frost, and treating a green pond without chemicals.
PLUS Arno introduces his plant of the day: Cordyline Fruticosa (aka Ti Plant) – a tough and sometimes stripey plant that is good if you’re after permanent foliage colour.
In the second hour; Olympia chats with Dakabin State School Deputy Principal Julie-Anne Byster who is currently involved in the Creative Generation – State Schools Onstage (CGEN) annual performance. The event celebrates the talent of QLD state school students, from tech to dance to music and more!
Olympia also chats with Andrew Batturo from DAP & Co Hospitality Group after the recent relaunch of Naldham House in the Brisbane CBD. This historic building has been revamped as a multi-level food and beverage precinct, and is now open for all to enjoy.
PLUS: We hear from Andrew South of First National By The Bay for a weekly real estate update.
