Farmers welcome drought measures

Farmers are expressing relief for the Federal Government’s fresh $100 million support package for drought impacted regions.

Funding will go towards increasing the skills of farmers, a program to assist local governments boost economies, as well as efficiencies to the Farm Household Allowance.

To find out what it means for those on the land, Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with the National Farmers Federation Chief Executive Tony Mahar
