Farmers told to protect their paddocks as the dry season continues
Farmers in Victoria’s South-West experiencing drought-like conditions are being urged to put in place containment zones in their paddocks.
140 millimetres of rain has fallen over the region in the past year…the area averages 660 millimetres annually.
Agriculture Victoria says this drier period is leading to declining pasture cover.
