Fallout over new Murray Darling Basin plan
An organisation of farmers and business-owners on the southern basin says they’ve been ignored by federal and some state governments, in the new Murray-Darling Basin Plan.
The re-vamped plan will rely on infrastructure projects and voluntary water buybacks to recover 450 gigalitres by 2027.
Rural reporter Ella Smith spoke to Speak Up 4 Water Chairwoman Shelley Scoullar about the concerns coming from people on the basin.
