Explainer: Red Tape Busters

As you’ve probably seen on the news, residents of Archer Street in Toowong are fighting to save an historic house called Linden Lea from demolition.

But it would seem that the battle was lost back in 2019 when the planning and environment court overturned a Brisbane City Council decision to refuse a demolition application by the owners.

Could the residents have taken a better approach? Shane Bowering is the managing director of Red Tape Busters and he’s here to answer that and other questions about dealing with councils and the government.
