David Littleproud credits ‘policy’ as the main reason for Coalition split

The Coalition has split for the first time in 38 years after the Liberals lost the last election in a landslide.

David Littleproud gave Sussan Ley a 30-minute warning that he was about to blow up the Coalition, despite the Nationals leader being told his key policy demands would likely all be agreed to by the Liberals.

Regarding Net Zero, the Nationals Party Leader David Littleproud told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “Not if it’s going to continue on the path of destroying our economy and I think there’s a better way to reduce our emissions than be held to something that is an arbitrary target the world’s not going to achieve.”

“But let me just understand the culture of the National Party, individuals don’t determine policy,” Mr Littleproud said.
