Michael is joined by Dave Sharma, Liberal member for Wentworth & former ambassador to Israel, who this week delivered his maiden speech to parliament where he said Australia would have to be prepared to pay an economic or political price for crucial decisions in the years ahead that could offend rising powers in the region.

In his first speech to Parliament, Mr Sharma said “an adversary no longer needs to be able to physically reach Australia in order to coerce, threaten or influence us,” he said.
