Dairy farmers urged to vaccinate their herds

Dairy farmers are being told to review their biosecurity strategies to lower the risks of  leptospirosis.

The bacterial disease can be spread through exposure to contaminated water, food, pastures, and soil.

But it can easily be prevented through vaccination.

Rural editor Eddie Summerfield spoke with Wodonga District Veterinary Officer Dr Jeff Cave.
