Dairy Farmers score game changing victory in discount milk war
Michael is joined by Niall Blair, NSW Minister for Primary Industries & Deputy Leader of The Nationals to discuss yesterday’s press release from Australian Dairy Farmers announcing their recent victory.
Supermarket giant Woolworths has bowed to dairy farmer pressure and will raise the price of house brand milk from $1 to 1.10 per litre in all stores nationwide… also selling two and three-litre varieties of their band fresh milk for $2.20 and $3.30 respectively.
Woolies have promised every cent of the increase will end up with Australian dairy farmers which is great news for an industry that’s been suffering the effects of $1 milk for the last eight years.
