Combating Doctor shortfalls in rural areas
Rural Health practitioners are calling for a re-think to attract and retain more doctors in regional areas across the country.
The Department of Health estimates Australia is short close to two and a half thousand full-time equivalent GPs with the problem disproportionately affecting rural areas.
Rural Reporter Dusty Fitzpatrick spoke with Dubbo Psychologist Tanya Forster about some of the ways the problem could be addressed:
