‘Close to the gutter already’: Gloves come off as federal election approaches

Australia’s federal election is months away, but the unofficial campaigning is well and truly underway.

Both Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton have been extremely vocal to start the week.

Griffith University Political Expert, Paul Williams told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, “The gloves have come off… they’ve come out swinging.”

“The campaign hasn’t even officially begun yet, but it’s getting pretty close to the gutter already,” Williams continued.
