David Berthon

SUV – on sale in Australia for the last 18 months BYD has now expanded to three
models with the recent addition of the small Dolphin hatchback and the larger
Seal sedan and by next year will have five electric vehicles in the market. At the
opening of a new service centre in Sydney recently the Chinese car maker made
some bold claims of where it will be in the market – that by 2025 it would be a top-
five brand in Australia and by 2030 the No. 1 brand displacing Toyota – as one

10,975 vehicles, Toyota on the other hand 195,959.
