Brisbane historian on conserving city’s classic buildings

You can probably name a few former Brisbane buildings and other landmarks that no longer exist. It’s a subject we’ve spoken about before here on Weekends.

For a long time, Brisbane was known as the city that tore down its old buildings and was losing its heart in the process.

Robert Allen is a Brisbane writer and historian who has noticed changes in the approach to preserving some of our older buildings, and he’s with me now.
