Breaking up or making up? Liberals and Nationals attempt to patch up relationship

The Coalition has temporarily put a hold on the split, with Susan Ley and David Littleproud holding peace talks.

The pair have agreed to delay announcing their respective frontbench line-ups in a bid to patch up the Coalition.

Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “What we saw yesterday was the National Party decided not to announce our frontbench, and to pause going ahead with being a separate political party as a result of the Liberal Party agreeing to hold a party room and discuss the four policies that we obviously chose to leave the coalition for.”
