Birthing in the time of COVID-19

Murray Wilton, Murray Olds

Pregnancy and birth have been very different during the time of a pandemic. Life for mother and baby has been different, and many of the normal structures that exist to support mums-to-be and new mothers have been missing.
The University of Western Sydney has been leading a national study about this very subject, called “Birthing in the time of COVID-19”, and the findings are very interesting.
Hannah Dahlen is professor of midwifery at the University of Western Sydney and she spoke to Murray Olds and Phil Burton about the study.
