Australia has traditionally relied on the US to back us up from a military perspective but the technology edge enjoyed by the US and its allies can no longer be taken for granted.
Patrick Buchan is the Fellow for Indo-Pacific Security at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington DC, and he tells John Stanley the Indo-Pacific is the epicentre of rising strategic competition and Australia needs to raise it’s military capability.
